2. Ready or Not
On the song One-Thirtyeight it says it features Joe Loftus on bass. If this is “featuring” a bass player it’s a strange form of feature I’m not familiar with. The bass plays a supportive role in this song only. Maybe this means there’s a live bass player on this cut or maybe it’s name dropping (and maybe I should know who Mr. Loftus is, maybe not.) The rap on is well delivered. The chorus is sung and sounds a bit like Ozzy Osborn. The song really rocks without too much screaming.
Ready or Not says it features Da Kernal & Archangel. Song is a mellow hip-hop groove with a chorus that says “Ready or Not here he comes he’s going to find you and change you slowly….. and mold you boldly.”
This is a good two song introduction to Phoenix.
Here’s hoping he continues on proclaiming Jehovah’s Kingdom in this
world.
